Custom Art Commissions
The next commission period begins January 20, 2020 and will close when slots are full.
Please read the FAQ first, then complete the form at the bottom (form will appear on January 20 at 12pm PST).
Are you taking commissions?
I love doing commissions and am honored to be asked. I open my availability a few times a year and invite a limited number of commission requests during those windows. To get an e-mailed update when commissions are open, join my newsletter.
Can you make something for my business?
These commissions are for personal non-commercial use and may not be reproduced, sold, or used for logos. For business-related inquiries, e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
What exactly is your art?
The pieces I make most often are hand cut shapes from quality plywood painted with acrylics and sealed with glossy epoxy resin. I can also paint on pre-cut shapes, canvas or decorate another item entirely. And I can make digital illustrations. I’m open to your ideas!
How much does it cost?
I want my art to be accessible to all budgets while earning a living wage. I price every commission individually because there are many different factors to consider. However because it may be helpful, here’s some examples of pricing.
Digital Illustration, sized for social media - from $20
Painting on 3” wood ornament - from $30
Painting on pre-cut shape/canvas - from $50
Painting on custom cut shape with epoxy resin overcoat - from $150
Other art, mediums, etc - priced individually
How long will it take?
4-8 weeks for most pieces. This is not a guarantee. If you have a specific deadline, please let me know in your request.
What payments do you accept?
Venmo, Paypal, Cashapp. I can also make you a custom listing on my site if want to do web checkout. Payment is required upfront.
What should I include in my request?
Be as specific or vague as you want. Things that you may want to mention: size, budget, medium, deadline. You can also e-mail any reference images.
Can you keep it a secret?
Unless you give me explicit permission I will never post images of commissions on social media until they have first been seen by the recipient. I don’t want to ruin anyone’s surprise :)
What is your refund policy?
No refunds on custom art. Hopefully if you’re requesting a piece you are already familiar with my work! I have a very high personal standard and put all my love and energy into every piece. That said, I want you to love it. If I did not give you what you asked for, I will do my best to work with you to make it right.
